My heart is broken. Poor Indiana. What the what? No broken heart here! What an amazing series! Some of the best women's basketball I have ever seen! Seriously, both teams played like championship teams and I loved every minute of it! Of course I wanted Taurasi crushed, but hey, she's a stud and I'm big enough to admit it!
Tamika Cathings...all I can say is WOW! I always knew you were good, but now I think you're great! Defensive player of the year! Cathings' offense is everybit as good as her defense! I look forward ot seeing her more in 2010!
Katie Douglas...what happened? Bad series for Douglas, but when it comes down to it, she's a total rock star!
I'm very psyched about next season! I've been thinking of who my dream team would be. If you could build your own WNBA team, who would be your starting 5? Who would be your bench?
Fantasy basketball anyone?

I have to say this was the best series in the league's history. We got all five games, and all but one were close at the end.
ReplyDeleteAll I'm going to say about Taurasi is this: yes she's a great player, can't deny that. But I think due to her actions earlier in the season, she should not have been rewarded with the MVP awards. That is not an example I want my girls to learn from.
Katie started hot in the first three games and just faded away. If Indiana wants to contend next year they need a third player that can come and consistently score to help pick up the slack.
My starting five:
G-Lindsay Whalen
G-Becky Hammond
C-Lauren Jackson
F-Penny Taylor
F-Tameka Catchings
Bench: C. Pondexter, C. Parker, S. Augustus, C. Wiggins, S. Bird, S. Young, N. Anosike, K. Douglas
